Collingham students win 2011 CIFE awards
Two Collingham students were presented with CIFE Excellence awards this March at a ceremony in the House of Lords.
James Woolsey (below left) was awarded a CIFE prize for excellence in Humanities. He demonstrated outstanding academic performance across his A Level subjects, achieving four A grades, two of them at A*, and he was only ½ % off an A* in English Literature. James is now on his gap year, working in a preparatory school as a classroom assistant. James’s achievement is particularly notable as he had been home-schooled for the previous two years before commencing his studies at Collingham.
George Taylor (below right) was awarded a CIFE prize for excellence in Modern Foreign Languages. George joined Collingham from Winchester College after taking his GCSEs. His A*s in French and Spanish reflect his excellent linguistic abilities. He also achieved an A grade in History. George worked in part-time paid employment during his final A level year. He is now reading Modern Languages at Leeds University.

At the same ceremony Zayd Sharif (pictured right) was presented with the Collingham Award for Outstanding Achievement
