Ashbourne student wins 2011 award
Ashbourne student Hoang Vu Tam Thu was awarded a 2011 CIFE prize for excellence in Humanities in a ceremony at the House of Lords this March.
Thu achieved three A* and two A grades in A Level Chemistry, Mathematics, Philosophy, Psychology and Law, highlighting the breadth of her ability, as does her choice of King’s College, London, to study Law. Thu has opted for this demanding course in a language which is not her first.
As well as being a talented academic, Thu is also a concert standard pianist.
